Departure Day
September 4, 2009
Departure Day. Our old Toyota is packed to the roof, and ready for a trip of almost 5,000 kilometres. Why not live in hope? I am travelling north with my husband Allan in a car packed with far too many boxes of books, files and notebooks. The plan is to meander slowly through northern BC and the southern Yukon and Alaska, then head north to Dawson City on October 1st. This research trip—so long a daydream—is finally about to begin.
